Hi, I’m Cennet (Jen), a third-year Anatomy major at the University of Melbourne with a strong academic background and over two years of tutoring experience, working with students from Year 7 through to first-year university.
I created The Pocket Tutor because I’ve seen how often students are taught what to memorise, but not how to understand. Through both my own studies and my experience tutoring, I realised that real learning happens when ideas are broken down clearly and connected logically, rather than learned as isolated facts.
My approach focuses on building genuine understanding, strong study habits, and confidence. Whether a student is struggling with foundational concepts or aiming to refine their exam technique, I work to make complex topics feel manageable and structured. Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, with an emphasis on clarity, active learning, and long-term skill development, not just short-term results.
At The Pocket Tutor, my goal is to help students feel capable in their subjects and supported in their learning. I believe that when students truly understand their work, their confidence grows naturally, and strong results follow as a consequence.
